Lost Horses by Robert Rossi

An art broker out of Los Angeles was selling this painting in front of a Ralph's grocery store in Westlake Village California in December, 1987. When I walked by the painting my first impression was that it looked more like a picture than a painting. I continued to look at the art on display and gradually worked my way back to this painting. As I studied the painting I was amazed at the detail and realism of the horses in action.

In my experience most artwork sold by sidewalk artwork brokers is not of this quality. This is where the mystery lies. Was this painting purchased from a gallery going out of business or an estate sale?

I have tried unsuccessfully since 1987 to locate Robert Rossi or other works by Robert Rossi. If you have information that will lead me to Robert Rossi, email me and collect your reward.

Splashing water realistic. Horse expressions believable.

Determined leader of the pack.

Please help me find Robert Rossi.
